the opera house:An exegesis

i already started reading this book..at the first chapter of this book..it tell me about THE OPERA HOUSE..the characters of this Opera House..the main characters of the opera are Ruby Sorparno, Mohd. Nasruddin Syah and Sheikh Abdul Kadeer.the playwright has hope in the art of the bangsawan. they must faced the japanese propaganda, their strive to maintain the artistic tradition of the bangsawan craft and its popularity..the dramatic techniques that was used in this book is very simple..the author potrays everthing on an opera stage..the story taken of the history of moden malay theatre..the period of this story can be divided into the decade of the 50's that are the sandiwara period..according to this book laa..hee..the decade of realistic plays(the 60's) and the period of contemporary theatre(the 70's until currently)..although this story, at its simplest level,its deals with the lives of bangsawan troupe, the panaroma of the problems ,suffering, hopes and the vision on the theatre stage..this story make me wants to know more about the history of the Opera house to evaluate the past with the hope , more meaningful present and future..
